Open Rank Faculty Position in Epidemiology

The Department of Epidemiology at the Indiana University Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health (FSPH) is recruiting a physician-scientist for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in clinical epidemiology. Primary responsibilities will be research as well as mentoring in the department’s graduate epidemiology programs. Faculty at FSPH are also expected to teach at least one course relevant to public health at the graduate or undergraduate level.

Assistant Professor in Epidemiology

The Department of Epidemiology is recruiting several assistant professors with strong interest in genetic epidemiological research on cancer and a track record of peer-reviewed publications in cutting edge areas such as molecular and genetic epidemiology of cancer. The candidate will work on research projects focused on the statistical and bioinformatics analysis of genome-wide RNA sequencing, DNA methylation, SNP array and other high-dimensional data.

We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in molecular/genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, or related fields with an interest in human cancer and complex traits. Our research focuses on molecular/genetic epidemiology with special emphasis on the application of emerging genetic and genomic tools on human complex disease and traits, including breast cancer, reproductive aging, sex hormones, and obesity.

Our program prepares Research Scientists to make the world better by designing, implementing, and evaluating the impact of information technologies on population health in the context of public health and healthcare delivery organizations.
