MHA 50th Anniversary

We're Celebrating 50 Years of the MHA

For 50 years, the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health Master of Health Administration (MHA) program has prepared its students for hundreds of distinguished leadership positions in healthcare organizations around the world.  To recognize this milestone, a 50th Anniversary Celebration is planned for October 25th at Mavris Arts & Event Center.

The MHA program received generous contributions by Ascension St. Vincent, Community Health Network, Indiana University Health, Hall, Render, Killian, Heath & Lyman, P.C., Blue & Company, the Indiana Hospital Association and Franciscan Health to offset costs for this celebratory event. These leading organizations are helping to sustain and preserve the legacy of the program through the MHA celebration.

Ways to Give

All ticket proceeds will go toward the Masters of Healthcare Administration Legacy Scholarship honoring the influence of alumni from the program and launching the next generation of healthcare leaders with scholarship funding.  Growing the scholarship endowment is a priority of the program. It reduces student debt and enhances the student experience by allowing students to participate in more opportunities provided by the program.

Through endowed funds, MHA alums can support both their values and the MHA programs needs in perpetuity. The scholarship endowment is ultimately a guarantee of student excellence, generation after generation. Alumni can support Masters of Healthcare Administration Scholarships in the following ways:

  • Establishing a named scholarship: Scholarships can be named after the donor or named in honor of a mentor, classmate or friend. A minimum donation to endow a named scholarship is $25,000, payable over five years. If your'e interested, reach out to Crystal Jones, Dean’s Office of Advancement at crmjones@iu.edu.

  • Contribute to the MHA Legacy Scholarship: In honor of the 50th Anniversary, the MHA Legacy Scholarship has been established to recognize the history of the program at IU and the legacy of the alumni and establish new opportunities for future students that will propel them toward success.  All gifts in the endowed fund will assist students pursuing an MHA degree. There is no minimum or maximum donation required to contribute to this fund.

  • Joining the Arbutus Society: Did you know that there are many ways to support the Masters of Healthcare Administration Fund besides writing a check? With a little planning, you can include a gift to the program within your overall estate or financial plans that preserves the university's mission and provides you with tax benefits in return. Learn more about this opportunity and begin dreaming about your impact on the next 50 years.

Please consider a contribution today to support MHA Scholarships. We welcome the opportunity to discuss details. To learn more, contact Crystal Jones, Dean’s Office of Advancement at crmjones@iu.edu or 317-274-5144.
