IUPUI-Fairbanks Faculty Elected as AIHA President
Dr. Steven Lacey, associate professor and chair of the department of environmental health science at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Fairbanks School of Public Health, has been elected to be the next president of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA). This is a four-year term. Dr. Lacey has served on the board of directors since 2008.
IUPUI Study Shows Home Blood Pressure Monitoring Can Save Health Insurance Companies Money
In the first analysis of its kind, a team of researchers at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis has found that health insurance companies could save money on care for patients with high blood pressure if they supported the use of home blood pressure monitoring kits by reimbursing patients for the cost of the equipment.
