FSPH 5th and 6th Floor Breakrooms
The Fairbanks School of Public Health is hosting a supply drive from August 20 to August 31 to support Project Period, a non-profit that partners with schools and community organizations in Indiana to provide free feminine hygiene products to those who struggle financially or are experiencing temporary hardship. They are dedicated to ensuring that these girls and women do not go without the necessary products to live a full and healthy life.
Project Period is currently partnered with 21 schools and counting! Your donations help supply these schools with adequate feminine hygiene products for girls in need. In addition to supplying partner schools, the organization also distributes period kits to local libraries and community outreach organizations.
Starting August 20, boxes will be available in the 5th and 6th floor break rooms/kitchen areas for donations of feminine hygiene products, plastic baggies, and hand sanitizer wipes. We are also collecting Ipsy bags that can serve as discreet carrying bags. Not able to come by? You can make a monetary donation through their Facebook donate button. Every single donation goes directly to a girl or woman in need. Let's kick off this school year by making a difference!
