The IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health is celebrating National Public Health Week (NPHW) with schools and organizations throughout the country, and we'd love for you to join us.
Leading up to April 7, we're encouraging our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to join us in the Billion Steps Challenge hosted by the American Public Health Association (APHA). The initial goal was 1 billion – we've reached that and set a new goal of 2 billion steps. By joining the FSPH group and tracking your steps, you not only show support for FSPH, but also for public health.
Let's help to celebrate an important week for public health students and practitioners everywhere by taking a small action right where we are. If you frequent the IUPUI campus, Healthy IU has established safe walking trails for you to reference as you get active!
Help us reach 2 billion steps by April 7th.
Did you know research shows that walking is good for both your physical and mental health?
That means as you win, we win!
