Team up with FSPH and the IUPUI community for a Service Day on April 5 as part of IUPUI's 50th Anniversary celebration! The Fairbanks School of Public has partnered with three communities in Indianapolis to prevent and control diabetes prevalence through the Diabetes Impact Project - Indianapolis Neighborhoods (DIP-IN).
This year, as part of IUPUI's 50th Anniversary celebration, an IUPUI Service Day has been planned for Friday, April 5, in our Near West partner community. Volunteers will be supporting Haughville Park by mulching the playground, completing a general park clean-up, and preparing the field for a baseball diamond! These projects have been identified by the community and we are working in partnership with Indy Parks to meet their need.
Interested in volunteering?
We are putting together a team of volunteers for the day of the event and invite all FSPH students, staff and faculty to join us. We will be providing FSPH and DIP-IN t-shirts to our volunteers and would love to have you join us! If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to Sedric Warren at email@example.com.
The day will kick off with a breakfast in Tower Ballroom, where all participants are asked to meet prior to breaking into teams. The service projects are expected to generally last until 12:30 p.m.
