Paw's Pantry is gearing up for their sixth annual food drive, Jam the Pantry, and this year, the Fairbanks School of Public Health is a shelf sponsor!
It can be incredibly hard to concentrate when you’re in a financial pinch and wondering how you're going to meet your basic needs. Getting top grades might not seem like a high priority for a student who’s anxious about where their next meal will come from. That’s why Paw’s Pantry provides fresh, frozen, and nonperishable food, as well as toiletries and clothing for students and members of the IUPUI community.
From November 1 through November 15, we're asking that you join us in collecting the following items requested by the Paw’s Pantry:
- Hygiene items
- Canned fruit
- Hamburger Helper
- Breakfast-themed foods
Boxes will be placed in the 5th and 6th floor breakrooms and front desk areas, and in the student services nook for donations.
The drive will end the morning of Thursday, November 15 (as we will be required to submit all donations by 4pm). Paw's will be donating a portion of the items collected to the Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation (HVAF). Learn more about Paw’s Pantry and Paw’s Closet.
We hope you’ll join us in this campus-wide food drive for our community.
