Undergraduate Student, Tyler Smith, Discusses His Educational Experience at Oxford

I have always wanted to study abroad while working on my Bachelor of Science.  This lead me to research many programs, however few fit the course curriculum.  I knew patience, prayer, and persistence would help me find the opportunity that I was looking for.  A friend pointed me in the direction of Oxford University and the Summit Oxford program.  This respectable program works the Washington International Student Council (WISC) and the Oxford Study Abroad Program (OSAP).  After completing an academic portfolio, I anxiously awaited the news that I had been accepted to Oxford University.

While there, I studied a wide range of courses spanning International Trade, Healthcare Policy, Epidemiology, and Religious Studies.  I interacted with world-renowned faculty on a daily basis and by the end of the term I had completed 22 credit hours.  On a personal level I was a part of the Men’s rowing team which led to many strong friendships and great experiences.  Oxford consists of many beauties including the ability to create the leaders of tomorrow.  I am honored to say that I have studied within the walls of this magnificent Ivy League University.
