Dr. Zhang Elected as American Statistical Association Fellow
Dr. Ying Zhang, FSPH biostatistics professor and director of education, was named and elected a Fellow of The American Statistical Association (ASA) for his outstanding contribution and leadership in the field of biostatistics! The ASA Fellowship has been a significant honor for nearly 100 years and is one of the highest professional honors a statistician could achieve. Dr. Zhang was elected for his "outstanding contributions to teaching and dissemination of statistical knowledge, statistical methodology research in panel count data/interval-censored data analyses and statistical application to Huntington Disease research." A formal reception for the new fellows will be held at the 2018 Joint Statistical Meetings, one of the largest statistical events in the world. Congratulations Dr. Zhang, you make us all proud!
