Fairbanks Researchers Receive CAHME Best Paper for Empirical Research Award
The department of health policy and management at FSPH will be recognized at the upcoming ACHE Congress in Chicago with the CAHME "Best Paper for Empirical Research Award" sponsored by Wharton Research Data Services. This award recognizes excellence in papers that advance the quality of healthcare management processes through the use of quantitative data and comes with a cash award of $1,500. The award-winning paper is entitled "Indianapolis Provider’s Use Of Wraparound Services Associated With Reduced Hospitalizations And Emergency Department Visits" and is co-authored by Drs. Joshua Vest, Lisa Harris, Dawn Haut, Paul Halverson and Nir Menachemi. The department is planning to use the cash award to support student scholarships in HPM.
