Important Resources

Below you will find important information and university resources for your upcoming academic year.

Important: On April 1, 2023 you will have access to create your IUPUI user name and Passphrase.

One.IU is the front door to all online services at IUPUI. From One.IU, students are able to perform tasks such as register for courses, view unofficial transcripts and view bursar account information.

Instructions for creating your IUPUI username and passphrase can be viewed on the University Information Technology Services (UITS) website. Once we receive your IUPUI email address it will be added to our student listserv. It is important that you check your student email account regularly. All departmental communications will be distributed via this account. As a student, you can have your IUPUI email address forwarded to an existing personal (i.e. Gmail or Yahoo) email address. Please access the UITS website for instructions on forwarding email.

When your enrollment date and time comes, you’ll use the Student Center in One.IU to register for classes.

Trouble shoot registration issues

Canvas supports teaching and learning, committees, projects, research, and portfolios for Indiana University's community of students, faculty, and staff. This tool will allow instructor to post assignments, grades and syllabus. Note: information and course content will be available on Canvas as soon as an instructor publishes the course.

What is Canvas, and how can I get help with it?

The IU CrimsonCard is free to all enrolled students on the IUPUI campus and is required for all students at IUPUI. You will need to go to the Campus Card Services office located in the IUPUI Campus Center. If you have any questions, you can contact 317-274-5177. When obtaining your CrimsonCard you must present proof of identification and student status (i.e. copy of registration). It is very important that you obtain a CrimsonCard because you may need it to enter certain buildings in the evening, purchase textbooks, food, checkout library materials and other items on campus.

Students can purchase an “ST” parking permit from Parking and Transportation Services located at 1004 West Vermont Street (2ndentrance), 317-274-4232.

Use the official calendar to find out the semester’s most important dates—including the first day of class, the last day you can drop a class with an automatic W, refund dates, and more.
