Research

The research arm of the department is the Center for Health Policy (CHP). The CHP has a vibrant research portfolio that is funded by a diverse set of agencies and stakeholders. Our research generally examines one or more aspects of the US healthcare system with the goal of characterizing a problem, testing a solution, or determining ways to improve health, reduce costs, and/or improve quality of care.

Faculty members in the department have active projects funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, various state agencies in Indiana, and numerous other stakeholders.
