The Eskenazi Health Scholars Program offers dual degree MHA/MPH students a generous scholarship and the unique opportunity for hands-on training in the health system. Eskenazi Health Scholars are mentored by a senior administrator in organizational responsibilities, career development, and professional networking. Each scholar will also complete a major project and a full summer internship working on a real-world challenge that Eskenazi Health is facing. Eskenazi Health is assisting the Fairbanks School of Public Health in providing the most comprehensive, relevant, and transformative MHA/MPH dual degree training in the United States.
Eskenazi Health Scholars | Unique, Transformative, Hands-On Training
I've worked on projects using the Lean Six Sigma processes to help clinics become more efficient by breaking down the processes of a task. We've looked at how to reduce cycle time at the Transitional Care Clinic and how to lower no-show rates at the Center of Excellence in Women's Health by pre-registering patients and texting appointment reminders.Devin Ryan, MHA/MPH Student
