Teresa (Cummings) Imburgia earned her Master of Public Health degree from IUPUI in 2015. She has worked in adolescent medicine, a Division of Pediatrics at IU School of Medicine since 2007. She started as a field researcher on a team enrolling participants and collecting data around the community and in clinics. Her roles now include running various research projects for multiple investigators and preparing manuscripts for publication and abstracts for presentations. In addition to her main duties, she mentors adolescent medicine fellows and other students in research and abstract development.
She is a certified clinical research professional by the Society of Clinical Research Associates. In 2013, she was nominated by the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine for their New Investigator's award. She is also a member of the Center for HPV Research at IUPUI.
