The Department of Health Policy and Management at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health is sponsoring a unique opportunity to participate in a one-week program exploring the organization, financing, challenges and future directions of the Israeli health system.
The mission of the program is to enrich students’ understandings of health systems around the world. The Israel section of the program, with a focus on Israel’s approach to a single payer system with universal health care coverage, will provide participants with an in-depth introduction to this model for health services delivery and give them an opportunity to compare and contrast the health systems in Israel and the U.S.
Participants will spend substantial time out in the field in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv visiting health facilities and meeting with area experts. The setting will also provide an unparalleled experience in history and culture.
