Apply for Scholarships at the Fairbanks School of Public Health

At the IU Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health, we work each day to ensure our students have every opportunity to succeed. We offer several scholarships for current, full-time students in both our undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

Addison Public Health Scholarship

The Addison Public Health Scholarship provides a one-time scholarship of $2,000 to an undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health at the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be in the final year of the program with an anticipated graduation date of May 2020.

Applicant Qualifications

Full-time undergraduate students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Public Health enrolled in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health for the 2018-19 academic year may apply. Students graduating in May 2018 are not eligible. Selections will be based on academic merit and motivation to complete a degree.

Please provide a completed application, resume, and a personal statement (600 - 800 words) that is a short summary of your goals after graduating from FSPH and how the scholarship will impact those goals.

FSPH Scholarship/Fellowship

The FSPH Scholarship/Fellowship provides three, one-time $2,500 scholarships to full-time undergraduate or graduate students within the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health. The intent of the award is to help students pursuing a degree defray tuition costs.

Applicant Qualifications

Full-time students who will be enrolled in a degree program in the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health for the 2018-19 academic year may apply. PhD students and students graduating in May 2018 are not eligible. Students must have a graduate GPA of 3.2 or above on a 4.0 scale in FSPH. Selections will be based on academic merit and motivation to complete a degree.

FSPH Study Abroad Scholarship

Through the Study Abroad Scholarship, the Fairbanks School of Public Health offers support to FSPH students enrolled in approved, credit-bearing study abroad programs overseas. Providing scholarships is one way we can help make global learning experiences available to more students.

Applications for this scholarship are not currently being accepted. Please check back in Spring 2019. 

May's Family RISE Scholarship for Men in Public Health

The May's Family RISE Scholarship for Men in Public Health was established to support RISE Scholarship for male undergraduate students at FSPH. As a commitment to diversity, special consideration will be given to underrepresented populations, including but not limited to financially challenged students and/or students with diverse cultural experiences.

May's Family RISE Scholarship for Women in Public Health

The May's Family RISE Scholarship for Women in Public Health was established to support RISE Scholarship for female undergraduate students at FSPH.
